Penshurst Place, Penshurst, Tonbridge, Kent TN11 8DG

The former hunting lodge of King Henry VIII, Penshurst Place has been a privately-owned family home since 1552, when the house, gardens and wider estate were given to the Sidney Family by Edward VI.

Today, Penshurst Place and Gardens is open daily from the beginning of the Easter Holidays until the end of the October Half Term. During their open season Penshurst Place and Gardens provides an incredible amount of activities included in your admission such as garden trails, crafts and storytelling, as well as a handful of extra-special ticketed events including outdoor theatres and the famous Weald of Kent Craft Show which is hosted in its parkland.

With an historic medieval and Elizabethan house to explore, 11 acres of formal gardens to lose yourself in, a large adventure playground situated amongst grassy hills, café, gift shop, plant centre, and a further 2,500 acres of parkland to explore using the many public footpaths that cross it, Penshurst Place and Gardens provides a fantastic day out for everyone.
