It is with great pride that we announce that The Stag Sevenoaks is now a partner of the TN card, and will be thanking our community of members for visiting the theatre and cinema. We hope that it encourages us all to use this special venue more, which relies on local support and volunteers.
The Stag has been the beating heart of the Sevenoaks community since 1936, with generations of us having grown up watching and performing in productions over the years. It's vital not only in nurturing local artistic talent and in providing entertainment for the town but in bringing visitors and revenue to Sevenoaks and many of its restaurants and shops.
Despite being of huge importance to Sevenoaks, the future of The Stag is fragile. Having been saved by Sevenoaks Town Council in 2018, the Stag had once again become a success story with a packed calendar of productions and filled seats, when Covid hit. The pandemic may be behind us but its effects remain very real, with many of us still preferring to stay home rather than enjoy live productions or heading out to enjoy a screening.
To see The Stag (and our local theatres) continue serving our towns for years to come, we need our community to visit them for film screenings and productions. Please book your panto tickets now, visit Stag to catch that film you've been wanting to see, or even give a few hours a week to help at the theatre, which relies on volunteers to keep running. If we all visit just once a month, imagine what an impact we could make collectively!
Andrew, Melissa and the team at Stag are thanking our members for supporting the theatre with a complimentary coffee or a small popcorn when visiting - just show your membership card with your tickets when you're there. We hope many of our members take advantage and rediscover what makes Stag so special.
