An absolute blast last night at Comedy Uncorked at Tunbridge Wells Literary Festival, in association with the TN card. Thank you to all our members who joined us in Calverley Grounds to sample delicious local wines from TN partner Wildwood Vineyard while enjoying fantastic stand up comedy. Expertly held together by the ever gorgeous Kitty Cassis of Tunbridge Wells Fringe, you go girl!
It was great to get to know Paul of Wildwood Vineyard better, having recently joined our directory. The multi award winning, family owned boutique vineyard is located just outside Eridge near TN partner The Deer Park Cafe. Planted in 2016 and with their first harvest in 2018, Paul uses sustainable practices and tends to the vines by hand, creating exclusive, premium quality still and sparkling English wines. Last night we tried Rosé de Noirs 2021 Brut, Eagle Ridge Rose 2022 and Thieving Badger Regent Red 2022, all excellent.
Wildwood offers tours and guided tasting experiences, have an East Sussex cheese plate paired with their wines and a Cellar Door where you can buy direct. There’s a nature trail for kids too. The Tunbridge Wells Literary Festival is back for its final day today, with plenty of family fun and a talk from Jon Alexander about his book Citizens with Ruth Rogers and Jenny Kitchen of amplifi. Members receive 10% off ticket bookings.
