Thank you to everyone who joined us today at The Halycon Wealth Longmead Stadium in Tonbridge and to Phil, Ian and all the team at new TN card partner Tonbridge Angels FC for inviting us all with our friends and families.
We had a special afternoon together, despite it being an emotional day remembering Devonte Aransibia. We had fizz for members on arrival and football colouring sheets and squash to keep the kids busy, and Sweet Temptations Cakery treated us all to chocolate and vanilla cupcakes.
The day was held in tribute to young player Devonte Aransibia, with a moving one minute silence and wreath laying prior to the match. We also took the opportunity to promote our Big birthday fundraiser for West Kent Mind, and were grateful to members for donating so generously.
The Angels took on Truro City in the Vanarama National League South and despite our cheers, fell to a single goal defeat to their visitors, who maintained their position in the play-off places, moving up a place to sixth. We enjoyed voting online for our Man of the Match, and congratulations to Bailey Akehurst who was voted our number one, receiving a bottle of Chapel Down after the game.
